Head of Facultative Great Britain

Head of Facultative Great Britain position, overseeing multiple Facultative teams including Property, Casualty/Financial Lines and Construction. The GB Facultative business is focused on serving UK cedants and servicing international business coming into London. 

Provide strategic advice to Facultative clients in GB and internationally. Connect with the Global Direct & Facultative Network, providing solutions to cedants and to colleagues who are servicing their cedants.  Grow GB Facultative’ s book of business. Help develop creative risk solutions for Facultative across multi product lines (Property, Casualty/Financial Lines and Construction). Ownership and management of the GB Facultative annual budget. This role reports directly to the Head of Direct & Facultative Global Line of Business.

The Role:

Set growth strategy; spearhead new business opportunities as required. Contribute to the resolution of complex placement and claims matters. Attract top-tier broking talent including senior producing hires.  Develop existing talent within the team.  Maintain meaningful, senior-level market relationships. Oversee the creation of new products designed to meet existing needs of cedants/evolving exposures. Involvement in industry panels, webinars, social media, etc. Set strategic direction for marketing campaigns, quarterly market updates etc.  Set the goals and objectives of the GB Facultative business.   Certified Person responsibilities under the SMCR regime.  Develop relationships with peers across the Risk & Broking segment.  Work collaboratively with all functions including Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance and HR. Ensure adherence to WTW policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements.

The Requirements:

Extensive (Re)insurance experience. Extensive knowledge of Facultative reinsurance and Facultative reinsurance market.Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service and new business development.Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.Knowledge of both broking and claims processes and procedures.Understanding of and ability to execute complex placements.Solution focused with a personal drive to achieve significant change in relatively short periods of time, and able to motivate teams to focus and deliver on priorities.Strong stakeholder management skills. Clear and compelling communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.Business and political awareness.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, reinsurers and external specialists.Holds all regulatory licences, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under UK legislation and FCA rules and guidelines.Experience managing teams, both direct and matrix management.
