Job Description:

Head of Finance, Malaysia is responsible for all finance-related activities, which includes, financial reporting, regulatory reporting and all tax related work. The person will be representing finance in ALCO, Board / Management Meetings etc and with external stakeholders like regulators, auditors etc.

Directly manages the team of associates. Managerial experience and proven success across Finance, including tax and regulatory reporting is required.


Responsibilities:

Leadership and management of all Finance and Tax functions in MalaysiaResponsible for Financial Control, regulatory reporting and also coordinate with the Product Control, Business Finance and Tax teams regionallyOverseeing the Accounting, Month-end close, Finalization of Annual Audit, etcRegulatory reporting for all legal entities of the Bank in MalaysiaSubmission of data to regional reporting team for US GAAP consolidationManagement Reporting and variance analysisBudgeting and ForecastingMonitoring & supervising all reporting requirements Supporting in Systems ImplementationLeading Finance TransformationCoordinate with Corporate Treasury on all Capital and Liquidity ratios as required by local regulatorsCoordinate with global teams on RRP, Stress testing and capital forecasting​

Skills:

Strong Team Management and Interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and partner with key stakeholdersAbility to work in a high pressure and fast changing environmentStrong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to adapt and flexibility to adjust to new business requirementsQualified accountant, with experience in preparing Financials, Regulatory reporting, Management accounting, financial analysis & planning and Tax matters preferably with multinational operating environments such as Local and Foreign Banks, Audit firms etcKnowledge of local GAAP/IFRS, Central bank regulations, Regulatory reporting, and Tax mattersPossess advanced knowledge of Excel and preferably exposure to systems such as Oracle, SAP etcProblem solving abilities, attention to detail, strong work ethic and multi-tasking skillsStrong organizational, written, and verbal communication and facilitation skillsLeadership and project management skillsHigh integrity and good track record
