Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Head of Finance who is collaborative, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused to join us in our Finance team, based in our office in Milan, Italy.
About the role
You will lead our financial operations locally, ensuring strong financial and tax compliance, driving process efficiency, and guiding your team and stakeholders toward delivering on both regulatory and business goals.
Who you’ll work with
You’ll be working in a team that partners with local leadership, external service providers, and global finance colleagues to ensure smooth and compliant operations. You’ll also collaborate closely with departments like Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Supply Chain.
What you’ll do
Lead local finance operations and ensure full compliance with financial regulations and internal controlsCoordinate with global teams and outsourced providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting and accountingSupport audits, tax filings, and statutory requirements, ensuring alignment with internal and external expectationsSupervise local invoicing, payments, receivables, and general ledger processesDeliver valuable financial insights to support local leadership’s decision-makingContinuously improve processes, increase efficiencies, and enhance stakeholder experience
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldProfessional qualification in accounting or tax (e.g. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)Proven experience (8-10years) managing end-to-end financial operations in a multinational or complex business environment, ideally pharmaceutical industry or Big4Strong knowledge of local accounting regulations and International Financial Reporting Standards and tax Experience managing outsourced finance services and working across diverse teamsExcellent leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
