We are seeking a talented individual to join our Finance team in the Pacific region. This role will be based in Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Marsh Pacific, is responsible for providing strategic support to senior management through detailed financial analysis and data-driven insights. This role will report to the Marsh Pacific Finance Director and will work closely with Finance and Marsh Pacific leadership on financial planning and execution. This role will also partner directly with the Marsh Pacific Finance Director and the Marsh Pacific leadership team to drive exceptional financial outcomes through strategic guidance and provision of timely, accurate and relevant management information.
We will count on you to:
Liaise with Marsh Pacific CEO and the executive team.Work closely with the Finance Director to forge direction and delivery, and partner with Finance Business Partners.Take responsibility for reporting, analyzing and explaining Marsh Pacific financial performance.Ensure the business receives robust KPIs to run the business, including coordinating the collection of all performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances to budget, forecast and prior year.Lead the budget process for Marsh Pacific, understanding opportunities and threats and build credible plans to deliver profitable growth in line with targets.Lead the forecasting process, ensuring an appropriate mix of top-down understanding and client level analytics.Partner with Corporate Finance and International Finance teams to ensure Marsh Pacific performance is well understood.Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.Prepare all the sensitive and confidential analysis as directed by the CEO or Finance Director.Stay connected to relevant external market news and industry trends. Partner across MMC finance to deliver future of Finance initiatives and champion finance transformation.What you need to have:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related degree; qualified or equivalent accounting qualification.8-10 years of Finance experience in a global, highly matrixed organization.Strong business acumen and knowledge of operating models across insurance, insurance broking and advisory firms preferred.Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical skills, forecasting and budget experience.Action orientated, delivery and outcome focused.Proven ability to engage colleagues and foster inclusive cultures.Experience in change and process management.Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills.What makes you stand out:
