Responsible for managing the first line risk management, operational resiliency and regulatory change management functions within the Banking & Markets Business Unit. Accountable for the business unit’s adherence to corporate and regulatory risk, resiliency, outsourcing and third party management standards. Serves as the primary 1st line liaison for internal audit, compliance and Banking & Markets regulators globally.
Major Duties:
Manages the first line of defense risk function while serving as the primary business unit liaison to the second line of defense risk and compliance function
Manages the regulatory change program for Banking & Markets and acts as a central point of contact for regulators on behalf of Banking & Markets
Develops the Banking and Markets control framework process including the identification, classification and review of the control environment.
Responsible for incident management processes
Owner of the Banking and Markets risk framework and governance structure including ownership of all Banking and Markets risk council activities.
Reviews, advises, and challenges changes to the Banking & Markets product offerings
Oversee and develop the business unit’s operational resiliency framework
Accountable for the business unit’s adherence with corporate outsourcing and third party management standards
Provides leadership and management of audit engagements including scoping discussions as well managing audit findings remediation tracking.
Serves as a member of relevant Asset Servicing governance committees representing Banking and Markets.
Responsible for implementing the business unit’s strategic plan and providing risk reporting to the program
Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages partner participation, teamwork, and communication; set measurable objectives and key results.
Experience Required:
Big bank/G-SIB regulatory experience
Extensive understanding of Banking & Markets regulatory landscape
Experience developing Banking & Markets risk and control framework
Displayed strategic leadership
