About the Role:
The Head of Sales plays a crucial leadership role within the Fragrance & Beauty (F&B) Division, driving retail excellence, growth and profitability across all retail partners (MBR and Concession) and the brand's own boutique network. This position oversees Regional Field Sales teams, their network of Beauty Advisors (BAs), as well as the Retail Excellence and Education teams. The Head of Sales ensures the seamless execution of retail and clienteling strategies across all locations, delivering a best-in-class brand presence and client experience while achieving business and financial targets.
Reporting to the General Manager of F&B, this role is pivotal in executing Divisional strategies to enhance the client experience and drive business at the point of sale. The Head of Sales collaborates closely with the F&B leadership team, and especially the Account Development, Retail Sales Environment and Marketing teams, as well as Fashion Retail regional and local teams, Brand Communication and Digital and CX Team to ensure the CHANEL’s excellence is fully realized throughout all retail locations. This role is accountable for the following:
Field Sales Management (MBR, Owned): Oversee the field sales ecosystem, delivering on sales targets and financial goals and delivering a best-in-class brand presence and luxury client experienceRetail Excellence and Operations: Supervise POS image strategy, visual merchandising execution while overseeing boutique openings, renovations, and merchandising initiatives to ensure operational excellence and brand consistency, all while implementing local actions to drive sales and reach targets by retailer and by regionEducation: Develop and lead education and engagement strategies, define and execute training programs, and coordinate specialist community efforts to enhance brand and product expertise and deliver ultimate client experiences at POS level, in alignment with brand priorities across all locationsWhat impact you can create at CHANEL:
Field Sales Management:
Oversee the execution of sales and operational strategies across all territories in both MBR brick & mortar and CHANEL F&B boutiques to optimize field performance and deliver a best-in-class luxury experienceLead the development and management of field budgets, ensuring alignment with company financial objectives. Oversee profitability and cost-efficiency strategies for all regions, delivering on financial goalsRecruit, manage, and mentor field sales leadership teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales targets and strategic goalsPartner with Marketing, Account Development and Sales Planning teams to implement sales development programs by retailer, drive performance and deliver sales ambitionCollaborate with the Marketing team to execute campaign roll-out by axis, trade marketing plans, masterclasses, services, and events that strengthen brand-client relationships and support salesExecute clienteling strategies in owned retail, deepening relationships and increasing recruitment, retention and loyalty. Support clienteling initiatives in MBR and Consignment doors in partnership with Retailers, Account Development and Marketing teamsProvide regional and local feedback, competitors initiatives and relay clients and market needs to the Corporate teams, in a bottoms-up approachRetail Excellence and Operations:
Ensure teams are equipped to deliver a best-in-class luxury client experience across all points of saleProvide leadership to resolving Boutique, counter, event, or visual merchandising areas of opportunityManage sales operations and logistics for FBB network, including inventory management, loss prevention, security, and compliance with operational protocolsIn partnership with Sales Planning and Account Development teams, define targets by retailer and by door and provide Field teams reporting tools to track and drive performance. Define metrics and KPIs by door, ensure consistency and efficiencies across regions Partner with Education and Marketing teams to identify needs and equip field teams with right tools and communication flows to drive salesFor FBB, work with Marketing and Digital + CX Teams to provide support to boutique teams and implement clienteling action plans around launches and beyond. Work with Tech and Digital + CX to optimize adoption of clienteling toolLeverage client analytics to inform Field teams about clients KPIs, improve top line with right mix by axis, driving recruitment, retention and loyaltyEducation:
Develop and implement education strategies to enhance team skills, product knowledge, and operational expertiseAdvocate for global education needs and influence training content development aligned with brand and local needs and prioritiesOversee the creation and facilitation of training programs, including online Beauty Advisor training and internal education app content, as well as in person programs, in partnership with Field Teams and Account Development to support strategy by RetailerFoster the leadership and development of specialist communities (e.g., Makeup Artists, Fragrance Specialists, Skincare Specialists) to elevate expertise and performanceDirect the deployment of axis expertise to ensure consistent knowledge and execution across locations and partner with Marketing to support major campaigns and product launchesTeam Development & Leadership

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $248,600 through $400,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position.
