OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:
This role focuses on developing and implementing a global strategy for BioLife Plasma that align with PDT (Plasma Derived Therapies) and Takeda's objectives to drive business results over the mid to long-term for a sustainable outcome. Responsibilities will include identifying internal and external strategic challenges and opportunities that could affect the growth and profitability of Global BioLife and ensuring cohesive and effective systems & processes exist end-to-end to drive efficiencies across the business.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and implement a sustainable Global BioLife strategy across the end-to-end business that meets the needs of our patients and positively contributes to the PDT (Plasma Derived Therapies) value chain.Develop strategy deployment process framework and cadence.Leads, changes, identifies, and inspires change agents.Partners with competitive intelligence to analyze market trends, competitive positioning, risks, and opportunities to guide business direction to position Global BioLife as an industry leader.Identify growth opportunities, business model innovation, and facilitate cross-business unit initiatives.Evaluate and conduct financial modeling of potential merger, acquisition, divestment, partnership, and joint venture opportunities.Develop strategic partnerships.Monitor medium to long-term business trends and gather competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with organizational goals.Partner closely with BioLife Head of Finance and the LT (Leadership Team) in the development of the MRP/MYC and LRF incorporating the overall strategy into the financial planning to deliver a credible and data driven narrative.Ensure the successful implementation of strategies and alignment with operational capabilities.Serve as the key connection representing BioLife on PDT initiatives.Use performance metrics and external market analysis to refine strategies and address challenges.Responsible for managing 1-4 direct reports and influencing a multitude of cross-functional teams.EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES (Technical and Behavioral):
A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent is highly preferred.10+ years in strategic leadership roles, preferably within large, complex organizations.Proven tenure in managing cross-functional teams and leading major initiatives.Leads strategic planning efforts, capable of developing and executing long-term business strategies and operational plans.Experienced in leadership, providing direction and support through multiple layers of management, and influencing company-wide strategies.Innovates and refines business models, identifying growth opportunities and facilitating cross-business unit initiatives.Analyzes and evaluates merger, acquisition, divestment, and joint venture opportunities, applying advanced decision-making skills.Monitors and interprets business trends and competitive intelligence, making strategic recommendations based on comprehensive analysis.Manages capital expenditures and project approvals, understanding financial modeling and budgeting in complex scenarios.Leads and manages projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and effective integration of new initiatives.Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to inspire and motivate teams toward a shared vision.Adaptability and decisiveness in dynamic environments.

252,000.00 - 396,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
