The Global Head of IT Infrastructure reports directly to the CDIO. They are responsible and accountable for proper function and availability of all IT Infrastructure components, and the timely delivery of projects related to infrastructure or that require internal resources.
This position demands a broad technical expertise combined with strategic planning, finance acumen and leadership skills to ensure the efficient and innovative use of technology across the company. It is important to highlight, the most relevant technologies: Multiple Cloud Providers,
physical datacenters, networking and security. It is also relevant to have knowledge of known Governance/Management frameworks like ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT5.
Your remit will include :
- Fit for purpose Infrastructure, ensuring we have the right technology programs and platforms in place to support the company’s current and future needs.
- Delivering first class IT Services : Delivering excellent IT Infrastructure capabilities to all Convatec stakeholders, ensuring we have the most efficient
processes in place related to Level 2/3 incident resolution, and us improvement practices.
- Cost Efficiency and Budget Management - Managing the IT Infrastructure budget effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and that the
department delivers maximum value for money. This involves cost-benefit analysis of Infrastructure related investments, optimising vendor contracts, and exploring
cost-saving technologies.
- Risk Management and Cybersecurity - Ensuring the security and integrity of company data and IT systems using IT cybersecurity strategies, following data
protection policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Talent Management and Team Development - Developing a strong, diverse, and highly skilled team. This involves recruiting talents, providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Innovation and Technology Leadership - Driving innovation by exploring and implementing cutting edge technologies that can give the company a
competitive edge. This includes staying ahead of IT trends, fostering a culture of innovation within the team
Your key responsibilities :
• End-to-end accountability for the Build & Run of IT infrastructure Solutions.
• End-to-end accountability for round the clock level 3 support in all IT Infrastructure domains.
• Delivers infrastructure to support the business programmes to cost, time and quality.
• Provides leadership in the evolution of each IT service area to ensure the provided services and support capability meet business demand.
• Sets the direction, strategy, and targets for ongoing operational improvement in Convatec IT Infrastructure.
• Negotiates strategic enterprise agreements for key technology partners.
• Builds trusted relationships with IT vendors to deliver new products, services, and capabilities.
• Proactively works with senior stakeholders across all functions and business units to define the broader Infrastructure requirement across markets, customers, employees, external stakeholder, and suppliers.
• Enables and champions a service delivery culture, promote ongoing service improvements, to improve quality and client satisfaction.
• Builds and drives a high-performance culture across business, suppliers, contractors, and permanent staff to ensure single-minded focus on the outcomes.
• Manages the performance of the team, as well as promotes and supports career development.
