Head of Global Materials Business Process
Job Description SummaryThe Global Head of Material Business Process is pivotal in developing global strategy, managing and optimizing the materials management processes across the organization and driving transformational change on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy and Vision:

Partner with all product segments, commercial regions, and global supply chain functions to create the short and long-term overarching global business strategy that translates into specific, actionable plans for purchasing, finished good planning and rough-cut capacity planning at all global manufacturing locations across supply chain and services.Influence organizational design, operational models, and mechanisms while establishing standard practices within a highly complex and autonomous plant ecosystem.Communicate a compelling vision and establish clear strategic priorities to ensure organizational cohesion for revenue share and cost management while driving alignment with segment and sub-segment executive leadership.Assess, choose, and apply advanced digital technologies, including supply chain AI and digital solutions, to improve visibility, traceability, and overall performance while influencing change in how we operate within the equipment and pharmaceutical businesses.

2. Development and Implementation of Global Design:

Establish policies, processes, and organizational structure to support future state digital work for Master Production Scheduling, Finite Scheduling, Materials Scheduling and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) integration into the overarching Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.Integrate independently operating sites by optimizing value streams based on product families and managing global production line complexities to implement standardized processes.Develop industry-standard KPIs and an organizational structure that supports harmonization and eliminates disparities.Engage with segments, regions, manufacturing sites, and cross-functional departments including new product introduction, order management, commercial sales, procurement, inventory, services, logistics, fulfillment, product management, S&OE, and S&OP to align processes and identify interdependencies.

3. Process Standardization & Project Management:

Drive process standardization at a global level to ensure consistency and efficiency in materials management practices and associated KPI’s.Support M&A integration for standard planning processes and capabilities.Spearhead the development and execution of strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

4. Process Improvement & Industry Trends:

Discover and apply best practices in materials management, introducing cutting-edge solutions to boost operational efficiency.Stay ahead of industry trends and new technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of supply chain innovation.

5. Systems & Risk Management:

Manage systems such as SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to support the Supply Chain Center of Excellence’s (COE) vision, ensuring optimal utilization for materials management.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity.Ensure robust compliance measures to meet regulatory requirements in the medical device industry.

6. Talent Development:

Build and lead a high-performing supply chain transformation team, focusing on talent development strategies and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth to enhance organizational performance and employee engagement.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

7. Inventory Optimization:

Develop strategies for inventory optimization, focusing on balancing inventory levels with business growth objectives while minimizing costs.

8. Continuous Improvement:

Familiarity with agile practices can help in adapting quickly to changes and improving responsiveness within teams.A commitment to understanding customer needs and aligning improvement efforts to enhance customer satisfaction is crucial for long-term success

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in (add fields); Master’s preferred.A minimum of 12 years of experience in supply chain roles, demonstrating progressive responsibility and leadership capabilities.Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to develop action plans and achieve results.Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.

Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.Strong influencing skills to drive results across various levels of the organization.Experience implementing structured change management strategies that engage cross functional stakeholders at every level of the organization including identifying and empowering change champions within teams to foster a culture of adaptability and resilience.Ensure effective verbal and written communication for collaboration and support from leadership to front-line employees.
