This position will oversee a team of Hyatt Sales Force professional s in China, driving revenue growth across our global Hyatt portfolio. This position will be responsible for the overall strategy on Corporate Transient, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Agency, Airlines and Group segments from companies based in China for business worldwide.
This person is accountable for revenue achievement of each seller at HSF China offices representing approximately 25% of ASPAC HSF revenue contribution to Hyatt hotels worldwide. This position should provide functional direction to Hyatt Sales Force team to optimize opportunities through proactive planning and execution of sales plans and strategies which ultimately stimulate transient, group and contract demand to drive incremental revenues.
This position will report to Vice President, Hyatt Sales Force, ASPAC.
Main Responsibilities
• Create a culture of success for ongoing business and goal achievement
• Lead the development of sales strategies for China that contribute to Hyatt strategic vision and positioning in the market
• Continuously analyze and evaluate key markets, vertical segments and seller performance to ensure deployment strategy maximizes revenue opportunities, sellers are incentivized appropriately, and that we have the key results necessary to drive further innovation and sales growth
• Build and develop relationships, representing the organization with key distributors and customers
• Develop strong business relationships with the key internal business partners to understand and deliver on their needs, as well as drive their engagement with our sales strategies, tools and systems
• Oversee the evaluation and development of core sales systems and processes to ensure technology is being used as a strategic enabler to drive revenue
• Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
• Working with each direct report in creating strategic road maps for each of their accounts
• Joining Sales colleagues on customer interactions, sales calls and business reviews
• Prepare and control Hyatt Sales Force expenses and ensure it is line with budget

• Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable team members to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
• Manages the effectiveness of the team through the utilization of their individual strengths and abilities and by supporting their ongoing development and career goals.
• Assist in recruiting and selecting and sales and marketing employees to work following the operational, financial, administrative philosophies willing to become multi skilled and perform multi tasks.
• Delegate appropriately, duties and responsibilities to equipped and resourced employees, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
• Monitor employee morale and provide mechanisms for performance feedback and development.

Experience
• Written and spoken proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is a requirement for this position
• 20 years’ experience working in hotels sales function. Global sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong Sales and Marketing background – previous Director of Sales and Marketing experience at a property level is preferred.
• Organizing Administering - works collaboratively – excellent manager of 3rd party and internal resources to achieve a collective goal. Can rally resources (people, funding, support, etc.) to get things done. Monitors and manages timelines effectively.
• Priority Setting - Is able to work in a deadline and performance oriented environment.
