With more than 36 million users per month, Kleinanzeigen has the widest reach of all online selling platforms in the country. Most of the items traded on Kleinanzeigen are second-hand. In this way, users make an active contribution to sustainability. The Kleinanzeigen market allows companies the opportunity to easily offer their services online. Kleinanzeigen was launched in September 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen. Since June 2021, the company has been part of Adevinta, a leading global provider of online classified ads. In May 2023, the name was changed to Kleinanzeigen.

What you’ll do ​& Who you are

The Role:

Our "Head of Go-To-Market, SMBs" position is an exciting senior leadership role that drives the acquisition, upselling and retention of SMBs for Kleinanzeigen's professional customer product suite ("PRO").

Building on the strong foothold Kleinanzeigen already gained in the German SMB space, your main objective is to make Kleinanzeigen THE primary destination for German small and medium business operating in various categories such as Home & Garden, Electronics, Fashion, Car Parts and Services.

To achieve that you will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, customer service and product development to align our product proposition and customer value proposition with customer specific needs and expectations.

A deep understanding of SMB needs and effective channels to reach and acquire them is an absolute must for this role.

We are looking for an experienced leader with proven experience working at the intersection of sales, marketing and product development in the context of SMBs / business customers.

Your skill profile:

Develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies for new categories (e.g. Home & Garden, Electronics) to accelerate business growth.

Gather an in-depth understanding of the individual category and seller dynamics and fine tune our value proposition to SMB sellers not yet on Kleinanzeigen.

With the team, you prioritise Go-To-Market & and product development based on market research, rigorous data-driven analysis and financial opportunity.

Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and other teams to ensure seamless and successful market launches

You make conscious and calculated decisions on the best acquisition strategy for SMBs - whether that is opting for strategic partnerships or direct end-customer acquisition.

You are the face of Kleinanzeigen to the SMB market, whether that is at conferences, webinars or other relevant communication tools.

Improve performance of Go-To-Market initiatives per category on- and off the Kleinanzeigen platform to achieve optimal customer lifetime value vs. customer acquisition costs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in and outside of Kleinanzeigen, including customers, strategic partners, and internal teams.

You will directly report into into the Director B2C & Advertising at Kleinanzeigen

Qualifications:

10+ years experience in leading Go-To-Market Teams

In-depth knowledge of the German SMB landscape, including market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.

Track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.

Strategy Development: Expertise in implementing Go-To-Market strategies that align with our goals and market demands.

Demonstrated experience in aligning a cross-functional Go-To-Market organisation behind a common strategy that is consistent across customer facing functions.

You speak the language of SMB-customers and know where to find them and address them with to-the-point communication and sales pitches.

Proven expertise in handling complex, commercial negotiations.

Experience establishing communication and engagement across hierarchies ranging from top management to individual contributors.

Business proficiency in English
