We are looking for a Head of Group Corporate Affairs who is strategic, influential and resilient to join our Sustainability, Corporate Affairs & Risk team, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. 

 

About the role 

The Head of Group Corporate Affairs will drive UCB’s external engagement and advocacy efforts to ensure sustainable value delivery for patients. You will align corporate affairs priorities, lead the Corporate Affairs Table, and influence global policies on transversal issues. This role involves strategic coordination with internal experts and external stakeholders to enhance UCB’s position as a change agent in societal transitions. 

 

Who you’ll work with 

You will be managing a team of 4 to support you in your objectives, as well as working with a diverse matrix team including the Head of Public Affairs, Head of Health System Policy, and other key internal and external stakeholders. This team collaborates closely to align advocacy priorities, recommend strategic initiatives, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement. 

 

What you’ll do 

Chair the UCB Corporate Affairs Table to align and prioritize strategic advocacy. 

Influence global policy on transversal issues, driving long-term strategic goals. 

Coordinate UCB's contributions to industry associations like the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations. 

Enhance UCB's external positioning as a change agent in societal transitions. 

Manage relationships with government bodies, policymakers, and key external stakeholders. 

Ensure clear communication of public affairs priorities and deliverables'. 

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills 

Proven experience in public or corporate affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with a multi-country scope. 

Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with governments and societal stakeholders. 

Demonstrated capability to influence policy and drive multi-stakeholder dialogue. 

Experience managing high-pressure situations and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics. 

Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments.
