We are looking for a Head of Growth Marketing to drive the next phase of Discord’s growth across players, publishers, and developers. In this role, you will build, develop, and execute comprehensive growth and lifecycle marketing strategies, working cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Marketing teams. This role is integral to helping identify the right strategies to impact acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts and execute and bring them to life.
You will thrive in this role if you’re highly data-driven, excel at identifying unique growth opportunities, and are passionate about bridging the gap between customer insights and quantitative analysis. This is a hands-on, player-coach role where you will build and lead, eventually growing a team of growth marketers over time. This role reports to our Head of Marketing.
What You'll Be Doing
Building our lifecycle marketing strategy. Develop and implement lifecycle marketing strategies rooted in the customer journey, with an initial focus on our player audience. Identifying new pathways for growth at Discord. Identify and evaluate new opportunities for growth across paid and owned channels, building strong business cases and justifications for investment across all our key audiences. Own & Execute the Growth Roadmap: Lead the creation and execution of growth marketing roadmaps, identifying key technical tools, resources, and innovative approaches to unlock growth. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to identify and deliver the technical requirements needed to support growth initiatives. Data-driven optimization. Leverage quantitative insights to optimize the customer journey, working closely with research and data science to pinpoint opportunities and eliminate gaps.What you should have
Growth & lifecycle expertise. 12+ years of experience in marketing with a strong focus on growth and lifecycle marketing. Media buying experience is nice to have, but not strictly required. Strong technical ability. Proven ability to work closely with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to shape and implement marketing technologies. Balanced Decision-Making: A strong grasp of quantitative data coupled with excellent judgment to refine strategies and ask the right questions. Passion for Discord. A deep passion for Discord’s mission, our business, our products, what we’re building for our customers, and the gaming industry at large. Adaptability & Empathy. Demonstrated ability to operate with empathy, agility, and flexibility in a hybrid, collaborative and fast-paced environment with team members, colleagues, and cross-functional partners. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $257,000 to $283,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
