We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Health & Safety, in this role you will have complete functional oversight of all Health & Safety activities across SDA. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure a proactive health and safety management philosophy, drive a business culture where safety and commercial decisions align, and support the organization's safety vision.
 

How you will make contributions that matter: 

Drive a proactive health and safety management philosophy based on effective communication and consultationsImplement systematic identification, assessment and control of hazards and risks.Develop and deploy policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure control and effective management of health and safety processes Implementation of corrective actions for incidents and accidentsEnsure policy, legal and regulatory requirements are clearly understood and consistently achieved

About you:

We’re looking for someone with:

Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or another relevant fieldProfessional certification and membership in relevant professional associations or advanced degree highly regarded10+ years demonstrated Health & Safety experience, including at a senior levelExperience in manufacturing or related environmentTrack record of establishing strategic direction of a function and following through its realizationDemonstrated experience in project and change managementA very high level of understanding of the legal and ethical framework that governs health and safety related business practices
