Role Description
Business partner (BP) to the country business head, key member of the Luxembourg Senior Management teamIn partnership with the appropriate Global Human Resources Centres of Excellence (GHR COE) and global HR BPs, coordinate efficient and aligned delivery of GHR services in support of HR StrategyExecute initiatives to drive business success and transformation, with a focus on attracting, retaining, deploying and developing talent and leadership within country(Co-)lead and manage the local HR team and SMEs supporting the countries to ensure an aligned and client-focused HR delivery of the global and country prioritiesRepresent the GHR function in relevant committees and governance bodies, ensuring full regulatory compliance of all GHR activities within the legal entitiesAct as the GHR liaison for interaction with local regulatorsEnsure GHR coverage for Audit/Compliance/FLOD initiativesRepresent GHR in the local market to include participation on HR related boards and industry forumsLocation GHR representative for business related communications e.g. business town halls, executive visitsProvide support to Sales/RFP requests including coordinating data requests, draft responses, updating sales database and participation in client presentationsLocal lead for all in country M&A related activityFunction as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on important HR topicsCoach, mentor, and guide leaders on organizational effectivenessSupport senior leadership in developing a culture of diversity and inclusion and promote the State Street values, culture traits and Enterprise-wide behaviorsMitigate risk by ensuring employment processes, practices and procedures are compliant with STT policies, risk, and governance with a focus on employment laws and regulationsProvide data and analytics to support business insights and decisions. Seek and share people related market trends and competitor intelligence.Role Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of progressive HR experience in a HR generalist role, with a focus on strategy/organizational development, compensation and/or talent acquisition within a large and dynamic organizationTechnical/functional HR expertise developed through extensive, senior experience across the broad spectrum of HR disciplinesProven to have successfully engaged with co-determination partners in different committee representation (local workers council, group workers council, staff delegation, union representatives, etc.) on various topicsAt ease in operating in a matrix environment, balancing requirements between a local/regional entity and a global corporationProven ability to develop and execute HR strategy which supports business goals and objectiveStrong commercial acumen, preferable in the financial services industryUnderstanding of Luxembourg corporate law in addition to a strong understanding of local employment and labour law, CLAProven people management skills. Ability to lead, develop and build multi-functional HR teams within a matrix structure and virtual operating model.Experience in representing the entity and senior management in related committees, forums and meetings.Superior communication, consulting, interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and critical thinking skills.Proficiency in relevant local/business languages: English is mandatory, plus French and/or German an advantageState Street's Speak Up Line
