We're looking for a passionate and driven Head of HR Operations Europe (full time) who will help us shape our People Operations unit, bring our team to the next level and, have the most direct influence on our success. We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee HR Operations across Europe, reporting directly to the Director of People Europe and India. In this role, you’ll drive operational excellence, lead international teams, and shape the People Operations strategy to enhance employee experience, compliance, and efficiency across the region.
Your TasksLeadership and Management:
Directly lead the team for the German People Operations team, consisting of approximately 10 direct reports, ensuring process excellence, payroll administration, and compliance with labor, compensation and tax legislation Directly lead a senior Expert to support defining, documenting, implementing and ensuring compliance with the defined internal processes and procedures across the European entities Directly lead a senior Global Mobility Specialist who acts as the company-wide Expert for EOR, working from abroad policies and processes, international Talent mobility and international hiring Directly lead a Workday Master data Specialist, who is responsible for data maintenance, changes, integrity, and accuracy, supporting the execution of organizational changes, onboarding and offboarding, and improving Workday-related data-entering and processes within the company Provide functional and guidance to a strong community of approximately 10 international People Operations colleagues across Europe, fostering collaboration, implementation of standards and best practices across regions Develop and implement a People Operations with a particular focus on consistent, accurate and compliant payroll and benefits administration, to enhance operational excellence, streamlining processes and ensuring efficiencyOperational Excellence:
Ensure the efficient, effective and compliant delivery of People Operations services across all European regions, including employee lifecycle management, HR-, payroll, tax-compliance, payroll management, and benefits administration Drive optimization and excellence in payroll processes across Europe, ensuring local teams and external payroll providers deliver high standards in areas such as payroll data preparation, validation, third-party coordination, payroll review, discrepancy resolution, financial reporting, reconciliation, post-payroll processing (including employee queries), audit reviews, and KPI tracking Standardize and optimize “hire-to-retire” People Operations processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all regions Lead initiatives to enhance employee experience and engagement through streamlined processes and responsive HR supportGlobal Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional HR teams, People Partners, Talent Acquisition teams, Finance and Accounting stakeholders and Business Leaders to ensure alignment and support for global People Operations initiatives Act as a key point of contact for regional HR teams, providing strategic guidance and support on complex People Operations issues, local and global, internal and external audits as well as internal and external reporting Liaise with the external payroll service provider, monitor and evaluate their performance to enhance quality and efficiency necessary information to Accounting, related to pensions and personnel-related provisionsChange Management:
Drive and support organizational change initiatives, ensuring that People Operations processes are adaptable and scalable to meet the evolving needs of the business Lead communication and training initiatives related to People Operations changes, ensuring that teams are well-prepared, informed, and fully engaged, keeping all stakeholders aligned and up to dateCompliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global employment laws regulations, mitigating risks and ensuring that People Operations practices are legally sound Develop and maintain global HR policies and procedures that are aligned with the company’s values and strategic objectives Your Profile Proven experience (12+ years) in a senior People Operations role, with a strong focus on European markets and international HR management Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, both directly and indirectly, across multiple regions In-depth knowledge of HR operations, including employee lifecycle management, HR compliance, payroll, taxation, social security contributions and benefits administration Strong understanding of global employment laws and regulations, with the ability to navigate complex compliance issues, as well as navigate the teams through internal and external audit processes Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement Experience with HRIS (ideally Workday) and other HR technologies, with the ability to leverage data, systems and AI to drive operational efficiency Ability to manage change effectively and lead People Operations initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Fluent in English; additional languages (ideally German) are a plus Our Perks You have an impact.
