About this opportunity
We are now looking for an experienced, passionate leader to be part of the Ericsson USA Smart Factory Leadership Team (LT) 
 

Head of Industry 4.0 will lead Automation Engineering, Software Engineering & Architecture, Application Development, Data & Analytics, Disruption and Innovation, and IT teams to lead digital transformation, innovative smart manufacturing solutions and technology that enable maximize production capacity, enhance efficiency, quality, and drive the adoption of advanced cellular technologies. 
 

Our ideal candidate will provide a vision for driving innovation and digital transformation. Align technology strategy and ensure it is aligned with the Ericsson USA Factory strategy. Works in collaboration with Global I4.0, to find better solutions to be implemented to all Ericsson factories. 
 

As the leader of a team of people, the Head of Industry 4.0 has a key part to play in role modeling and encouraging his/her team to live the Ericsson Values of Professionalism, Perseverance, Respect, and Integrity. The leader will drive Ericsson’s five focus areas and promote ethics and compliance and, by reinforcing Ericsson culture.

What you will do

Develop and lead an outstanding management team in the industry 4.0 areas.

Lead with uncompromising integrity, prioritize personal development within their team. 

Own the platform development for automation solutions, software systems, use cases & data for the factory.

Represent the US factory in global Industry 4.0 forums.

Realize and implement Industry 4.0 use cases for manufacturing and supply chain.

Govern the IT support and development together with partners in MANA and Global IT.

Maintain roadmaps for SW and HW products in the industry 4.0 domain and work with partners from manufacturing and Industry 4.0 in Ericsson global organization.

Develop automation/technology strategy and roadmap and ensure its integration with the overall IT and Product Introduction Maintenance teams. 

Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, and accurately translated for execution.

Build trust and collaborate with key partners in Ericsson Supply sites and IT Team

Actively contribute to the Factory Leadership team

Define concise goals and objectives connected with USA Factory strategy. 

Enable and ensure cross-functional collaboration within USA Factory stakeholders. 

Continuously seeking opportunities to maximize production capacity, increase efficiency and quality across the factory. 

Identify skills gaps within the industry 4.0 team and provide training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills.

The skills you bring Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or another technical related field Minimum of 10 years in manufacturingExperience of working in a global organization  Experience leveraging advanced technologies (Edge Computing, Cloud Services, IoT Sensors w/ Real Time Data, Machine Learning, AI & 5G Connectivity)  Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with Physical & Software Systems in critical infrastructure. Exceptional leadership skills in line with Ericsson core values and leadership frameworkUncompromising integrity, people enablement and self-awarenessAbility to thrive in an ambiguous and uncertain environment.Ability to explain complicated and complex topics in a clear, concise, and easily way.Result-oriented and business-minded attitude with a strong manufacturing backgroundExcellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
