Join our team at Boehringer Ingelheim UK & Ireland as the Head of IT and be at the forefront of innovation and excellence!** **TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES** **• Drive IT Excellence: Ensure the delivery, availability, and continuous improvement of IT services, leveraging escalation processes when necessary.** **• Global IT Representation: Act as the voice of the global IT function within the ROPU UK & Ireland management teams, aligning local business demands with global IT strategies.** **• Business Advocacy: Represent the UK & Ireland business within the global IT function, ensuring our needs are heard and considered in global IT strategies.** **• Project Leadership: Oversee the successful delivery of IT projects through robust governance and management of cross-functional interdependencies.** **• Drive Innovation: anticipate issues and challenges from the business and provide solutions optimizing AI and latest technical trends** **• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all IT systems comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and company standards.** **• Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop our UK-based IT team, taking on legal management responsibilities for all team members.** **REQUIREMENTS** **• Extensive Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading and motivating teams.** **• Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement strategies that align with business goals.** **• Customer Focus: Strong commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.** **• Influencing and Negotiation Skills: Expertise in influencing stakeholders and negotiating successful outcomes.** **• Dual Expertise: In-depth understanding of both business and IT, with experience in both fields.** **• Creative and Curious: Highly innovative, curious, and a strong networker.** **• Legal Acumen: Knowledge of local employment and other relevant laws.** **• Change Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and drive change effectively.** **• Team Leadership: Experience in leading, developing, and inspiring diverse teams.** **• Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Holistic understanding of the pharmaceutical business and end-to-end processes (preferred but not essential).** **• Entrepreneurial Spirit: Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset.** **WHY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK** **Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
