We are seeking a Head of Investor Strategy to lead a consultancy team focused on expanding State Street Global Advisors’ (GA) investor engagement strategies. This role equips wealth managers, direct platforms, and plan sponsors with the tools and insights to attract, retain, and empower investors. The ideal candidate will help these stakeholders apply behavioral finance strategies, refine investor interactions, and strengthen client relationships – building financial confidence and driving business growth.
Within GA’s Practice Management team, the Investor Strategy function works to identify evolving investor behaviors and expectations, positioning advisory teams and direct platforms to meet these shifts proactively. This role focuses on influential investor segments that are redefining the future of advice and investment products – ensuring that each engagement, from onboarding to execution, is intuitive, high-value, and trust-building. Through consulting, curated content, and experiential learning, we help advisory teams, direct platforms, and plan sponsors turn behavioral insights into strategies that build trust and improve decision-making.
As part of State Street’s Advisory Solutions and Wealth Intelligence business within the Client Coverage Group (CCG), the Head of Investor Strategy will work across GA, closely aligning with the Head of Practice Strategy to develop integrated advisor and investor engagement strategies. This role collaborates with CCG’s distribution teams across broker-dealer, registered investment advisor, and direct retail channels, plus the U.S. retirement team in the Chief Business Office (CBO). Together, these efforts will enhance client loyalty, strengthen brand preference, and position GA as a preferred partner for financial intermediaries, employers, and the investors they serve. Reporting to the Global Head of Advisory Solutions, this role plays a critical part in ensuring GA’s wealth initiatives evolve alongside industry trends and investor expectations.
As Head of Investor Strategy, you will:
Lead investor strategy as a key function within GA’s Practice Management team, ensuring intermediaries and employers have the insights, tools, and strategies needed to attract, retain, and empower investors.Develop and implement investor engagement strategies that leverage behavioral financial techniques, investors experience design, and financial confidence-building initiatives for intermediaries, direct platforms, and plan sponsors. Act as a trusted partner and strategic resource, embedding investor-centric insights into advisory business models, service frameworks, and financial engagement strategies.Guide intermediaries on client acquisition, retention, and investor coaching techniques to deepen investor engagement, improve financial decision-making, and strengthen long-term relationships.Collaborate closely with the Head of Practice Strategy to ensure investor engagement strategies align with advisory business development and practice optimization.Work alongside CCG distribution and U.S. retirement teams to integrate GA’s wealth-focused initiatives into client engagement strategies, reinforcing GA’s role as a long-term partner to intermediaries and employers.Expand GA’s market influence by representing the firm at industry events, investor forums, and executive briefings through high-impact presentations, workshops, and discussions.Develop and publish investor-focused content – including white papers, articles, and best-practice frameworks – to help intermediaries, direct platforms, and plan sponsors acquire, engage, educate, and empower their clients more effectively.Success Measures:

Minimum 10 years of experience in wealth management, advisory client development, behavioral finance, or practice management strategy.Proven ability to develop and implement investor experience strategies, coaching programs, and relationship development frameworks at scale.Exceptional communication and consulting skills with the ability to engage, influence, and partner with wealth management executives, advisory teams, and investor-facing professionals.Deep expertise in behavioral finance, financial literacy, and client acquisition and retention strategies for intermediaries and employers. Experience working cross-functionally within asset management, wealth management, or intermediary-focused financial services.Public speaking and content development experience, with the ability to represent GA at industry and investor-facing events, lead breakout sessions, and contribute to investor engagement and education programs.Ability to craft compelling narratives that help intermediaries and investors navigate an advised wealth management relationship or self-directed financial journey to improve outcomes.Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Advanced degrees such as MBA or CFP, or a behavioral finance certification, are preferred but not required.FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses required or obtainable within 6 months.Available for travel regionally as required (35%-40%)High level of integrity and professionalismAre you the right candidate? Salary Range:
$115,000 - $190,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
