What part will you play?
You will be the Group Head of the IP Team supporting the Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) Business Units: Electrification and Automation (EA) and Grid Software (GSW). This role includes personnel responsibility for a team of four IP Counsels in Berlin.
Support the Head of IP SI with organizational matters for the IP Department in and for Berlin.Collaborate with the business units and product development teams to identify and protect new inventions and conduct freedom-to-operate analysis.Coordinate globally with IP Teams working for the business units (EA and GSW).Maintain close alignment within the team as well as the parallel IP departments.Coordinate M&A and Divestiture/Carve-Out activities for parts of the business unit.Serve as Lead IP Counsel for the relevant business units and provide comprehensive IP support. This includes international coordination of IP work, including filing, prosecution, defending, and exploiting IPRs, as well as significant opposition activities in front of the European and German patent offices.Provide counseling on all IP matters, third-party IP monitoring, IP clearings, and the development, implementation, and execution of IP strategy.What you need to make real what matters.
Master’s degree in physics, Informatics, Electrical Engineering or any similar branch
