THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Head of IT Quality Control who
- Is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes of AIA IT department.
- Ensure the software and systems are delivered with high quality, reliability, and performance.
- Lead a team of quality control engineers and work closely with development, operations, and other IT teams to maintain and improve overall IT quality
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control Management (80%)
Quality Assurance Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT quality control strategy aligned with business objectives.Establish and maintain quality standards, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality.Conduct regular reviews of quality processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of quality control engineers.Recruit and hire talented QC professionals to strengthen the team.Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.Test Planning and Execution:
Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all IT systems and applications.Manage the test environment and configuration management.Defect Tracking and Management:
Implement a robust defect tracking system to effectively manage and resolve issues.Analyze defect trends to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.Prioritize and track defect resolution efforts.Automation and Tooling:
Promote the use of automation tools to improve efficiency and test coverage.Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools and technologies.Drive the adoption of automation best practices.Compliance and Security:
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct security testing and vulnerability assessments.Implement security best practices and controls.Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with development, operations, and other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of quality assurance activities.Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Provide regular reports on quality metrics and status updates to management.People Development & Others (20%)
Provide daily coaching and supervision to subordinate as required.Review and evaluate staff performance, providing action plans to address development, career opportunities.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of quality control engineers.Recruit and hire talented QC professionals to strengthen the team.Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.Perform other responsibilities & duties as assigned by management.JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelors degree in IT field.At least 10 years professional experience. At least 5 years in IT managerial role.Strong technical background in software engineering and testing methodologies.Extensive experience in leading and managing quality assurance teams.In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, DevOps).Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.Experience with performance testing, security testing, and API testing.Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong people management skill, leadership skillBuild a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
