Objective: Managing and guiding the Launch and Change Managers within the region to ensure an excellent launch of new products as well as a successful implementation of engineering changes and further cost improvements during the complete product life cycle till end of production
A Project Management
1 Proposing, agreeing and following up targets in terms of quality, costs and timing with Project Management, on behalf of the Internal Factory Manager / Plant Manager
2 Ensuring that project targets are being achieved or overachieved simultaneously or with the priority to selected dimension(s). Monitoring launch and change performance, identifying gaps and defining actions and countermeasures to correct / prevent deviations from target KPIs
3 Ensuring the definition of members for Operations Project Teams (core and extended team), with the help of the functional departments. Assuring effective integration and communication within Operations Project Teams, including resolution of conflicts with functional departments
4 Knowing and proactively advancing HELLA standards for processes, methods and tools in the field of Launch and Change Management, incl. relevant cross-functional Operations and Project Management standards
5 Ensuring that project tasks and work packages within the Operations Project Teams are defined, planned, coordinated and monitored by using predefined HELLA standards
6 Assuring that claim potentials resulting from engineering changes are identified and a valid status on engineering changes (e.g. change requests) with regards to their effects on project targets is maintained
7 Understanding and knowing the product specifications and manufacturing process to the extent that they build a basis for profound decisions. Reflecting the effects of decisions onto other departments (e.g. within Operations, Purchasing, Program Management, Quality Development, Design
8 Assuring that Design for Manufacturing in respect to state-of-the-art manufacturing technology is achieved (by collaboration between design, manufacturing / process engineering, equipment suppliers etc.), yielding optimum cost, while complying with quality and productivity requirements
9 Ensuring that all tasks and steps of the PEP are executed correctly with respect to quality, cost and timing (e.g. production flow planning, selection of appropriate manufacturing processes and layouts, selection and procurement of production equipment, pre-acceptance, set-up and final acceptance of production equipment, Full Run, Run@Rate)
10 Ensuring that creation, updating and management of production-related documentation and master data is executed during the complete product life cycle according to standards and guidelines
11 Involvement in internal and external project related audits
12 Assure that projects within the plant follow corporate HELLA processes and standards (e.g., C Sample Process, Engineering Change Management Process, Master Data Processes, Relocation Process)
B Leadership
1 Deploying employees corresponding to their qualifications within the relevant structure. Instructing and supporting employees in a target-oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks
2 Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks
3 Participating in hiring process and responsible to sustain the team performance and evaluation as well as qualification demands
