Overview This position requires on-site presence at the Coborn's Support Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. We offer a hybrid work environment with both remote and in-office days. As the Head of Learning and Development, you will use your creative thinking skills to design and execute learning strategies, assess employee development opportunities, and track the learning effectiveness of the organization. You will partner with both the retail and non-retail areas of the business to deliver training strategies in areas such as how to drive sales through consistent execution of operational standards, in-store promotional excitement, product knowledge, and delighting our guests. Requirements Learning Strategy Development Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to understand business objectives and workforce development needs. Develop and implement learning and development strategies that align with the company’s goals. Identify trends and make recommendations for improvement to the organization’s learning strategies and programs. Establish and maintain a learning culture within the organization. Ensure the effective use of resources, within the budget, for training and professional development programs. Training Program Design & Delivery Design, develop, and implement training programs, workshops, e-learning modules, and seminars for employees. Ensure training programs are engaging, relevant, and aligned with business needs. Deliver and facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions or oversee external training facilitators. Training Needs Assessment Conduct assessments to identify skills gaps and training needs at all levels of the organization. Work closely with operations to prioritize training initiatives and ensure employees have the skills to meet organizational goals. Technology & Learning Management System Oversee the management and continuous improvement of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS). Leverage technology to enhance learning delivery (e.g., using e-learning platforms, webinars, and virtual classrooms). Performance & Development Plans Individual Development Plans- Assist our leaders in identifying the best development programs for their teams and individuals they are developing. Support succession planning by developing programs that will prepare our employees for continued career growth. Guide employees in setting and achieving career development goals. Evaluation & Reporting Measure the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance assessments. Report on key metrics such as training ROI, participation rates, and employee development outcomes. Adjust and improve training programs based on data-driven insights. Team Leadership & Development Lead by example to create a culture that engages employees, and builds team spirit and morale through recognition, accountability, coaching for talent development, and urgency. Train, coach, and mentor on how to drive sales through consistent execution excellence of operational standards, in-store promotional excitement, product knowledge, and guest service.
