**Position Summary:** The Head of M&A and Corporate Development will lead the strategic development and execution of M&A activities across Equitable Holdings, with a focus on retirement, wealth management, and asset management through AllianceBernstein. This role is critical in identifying growth opportunities, assessing potential acquisitions, and integrating new businesses to enhance our portfolio.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Strategic Leadership:**
+ Develop and implement the M&A strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and evaluate strategic acquisition opportunities.
+ Work closely with the management committee of Equitable Holdings and key internal stakeholders, including Investor Relations, Treasury, and the Corporate CFO.
**Deal Sourcing and Analysis:**
+ Identify potential acquisition targets through comprehensive market and competitor analysis.
+ Conduct detailed financial analyses and modeling to assess the viability and potential return on investment of M&A opportunities.
**Transaction Management:**
+ Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including target identification, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration.
+ Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
**Deal Integration:**
+ Develop and execute integration plans to ensure smooth transitions and maximize synergies post-acquisition.
**Strategic Planning:**
+ Engage in strategic planning activities to align M&A initiatives with broader business goals and objectives.
**Market and Competitor Analysis:**
+ Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends and competitors to inform M&A strategies and identify new opportunities.
**Capital Markets and Internal Restructuring:**
+ Collaborate with capital markets teams to assess financing options and optimize capital structure.
+ Lead internal restructuring efforts as needed to support strategic objectives.
**Relationship Building:**
+ Establish and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, legal advisors, and other external partners.
+ Act as a primary point of contact for all M&A-related inquiries and communications.
The base salary range for this position is 250K - 350K. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for the programs depend on level and function al area of responsibility.

**Qualifications**
**Highly Preferred Qualifications**
**Experience:**
+ 10 years of experience in banking and M&A, preferably within the financial services industry.
+ Proven track record of successfully leading complex M&A transactions.
**Skills:**
+ Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
+ Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
+ Ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels of the organization.
+ Knowledge of the retirement, wealth, and asset management industry.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
