Job Description

About the role:

The primary mission of the position is to provide technical, scientific support to commercial manufacturing operations of multiple recombinant protein therapeutics in order to meet the plant goals in terms of yield, capacity and quality - specifically to ensure high process performance, capacity utilization and success rate.

Select, develop, retain and provide general/technical leadership to a team of doctorate and/or high professional level engineers/scientists/project managers, in their assigned project activities.

Efficient & effective manufacturing support and troubleshooting for all products at the site, incl. support to other sites and CMOs. Address in timely manner the business issues with a good balance on technical solving and transactional processes (communication, alignment) including MS Labs and Analytical Sciences Lab.

Accountable for process yield and success rate targets.

Coordinate product impact assessments related to process deviations and non-conformities in order to support product disposition decision.

Identify, evaluate, select and support the implementation of opportunities for process improvement, or process robustness at commercial scale, together with Global, Manufacturing Sciences and Project Management functions.

Provide input to the technology innovation strategy.

Support Regulatory submissions, and Compliance inspections.

Comply with c-GMPs and other regulatory, Takeda requirements.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Facilitating the resolution of complex and business impacting technical or scientific process issues

Decision that have a local impact can be taken, those with a global impact or other sites have to be discussed with the manager.

What you bring to Takeda:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 15 years or relevant experience

MS with at least 10 years or PhD with at least 8 years of relevant experience

Several years technical and leadership experience

Resource and budget management

Strategic development experience
