You will Lead business development sub-function for the country and provide input to and lead the implementation of functional strategy to generate new/ additional business, maximize profit and grow market share in line with country strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies

In this Head of Marine and Special Projects role, you will:
Define the country's business development strategy in line with country business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies for medium to large new business opportunitiesSet and implement business development plans and budgets, account management approach and account plansLead strategic business development activities and initiatives across the country with significant impact on overall resultsDrive the country's market growth and retention rateSupport customer strategies and contract negotiationsAchieve pricing strategy that is consistent with the business objectives of the countryDirect market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potentialSupport team to develop major leads, prepare proposals, negotiate and convert businessBuild relationships and co-ordination strategies with local businesses to acquire resources, enhance working processes and productivity and to create integrated salesFacilitate alignment of global strategies with the country's strategy and ensures coordination of global efforts within the countryDrive business development synergies within the country and decide on areas for improvement based on pipeline reportingInterpret key trends and developments impacting business and identify change needs within the country level business development plansPromote systems for monitoring competitive activity and dissemination of information and best practices to relevant partiesImbibe best in class sales and business development practices for the countryInfluence innovation that directly influence the way the country is operating and making moneyAnalyze complex issues with multiple dimensions and modify business development methods and techniquesReach agreement with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interest in cooperating or participatingNegotiate and authorize critical agreements/ contracts, changing terms and conditions significantly where requiredLead, direct, coach and develop performance of the country’s business development teamStakeholders
