**Basic purpose of the job** Market Access Strategy Group Manager is responsible for developing strategy to maximize value for early-stage assets through the following activities. 1) Work closely with Corporate Market Access and Asset Team to develop strategies for pricing and reimbursement for each asset. 2) Provide necessary input to the global team and contribute to maximizing asset value, taking unmet needs based on the treatment conditions and patient needs in the target diseases, trends in Japan's drug pricing rules, and expected revisions into consideration. 3) Formulate an action plan in cooperation with the relevant internal departments on matters to be addressed for the realization of strategies related to drug prices and reimbursement. **Accountabilities** Provide necessary input to the Japan (Early) Asset Team and global team from the perspective of Value for assets early in development, and contribute to maximizing asset value. Work closely with Corporate Market Access to develop pricing strategy in Japan and examine the necessary matters for the realization of the strategy. Consider and implement matters necessary to respond to reimbursement and medical fees related to assets from early stages of development. Catch up the government finance, medical insurance system trends, and the trend of pricing rule application for new drug pricing and price revision, predict the direction of future review, and reflect it into pricing strategy. Develop the organization to maximize group performance. Develop the skills of team members and enhance their expertise as well. **Regulatory and / or Organisational Requirements** The following knowledge is required: - Healthcare insurance system, drug pricing system, medical fee system, and related laws and regulations - J-HTA system - Pricing and reimbursement systems in Europe and the United States **Job Complexity** 1) From the perspective of drug price and reimbursement, it is required to consider and take specific measures necessary for relevant stakeholders to properly understand the value of individual assets. 2) It is required to appropriately and timely understand changes in the external environment, including the state finances and political situation, forecast the possible impact on the company, and promptly propose countermeasures as necessary.
