We are assembling a team of top talent to build an in-house model that supports global-to-local campaign execution through a geographically distributed team enabled by emerging technologies and "follow the sun" operations. We’re looking for a Head of Motion who brings a thoughtful, brand-forward approach to creating motion content across all marketing touchpoints. Your ability to direct a team of visual designers who will partner with copywriters and other disciplines to concept and implement the “big ideas” brought to life through motion capable of moving hearts and minds to affect behavior change will be vital to success in this role.

In this hands-on position reporting to the Global Creative Director, you will lead a team of editors and motion graphics designers assigned to a specific line of business such as Provider Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Brand, Corporate Communications, and the like to design and develop motion content for product marketing, advertising, direct marketing, corporate image, brand identity and experiential techniques. In addition to actively concepting and designing content, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of designers and working with creative project managers to control budgets, timelines and flow of work to ensure every project meets the goal(s) of a given creative brief.

Success in this role requires a track record of coaching and inspiring creative teams to develop content that drives growth for the business. You will be responsible for elevating our motion storytelling to world-class, award-winning levels while producing measurable results against business objectives. Relationship management and collaboration at all levels of the organization and working with global teams across multiple functions will be required.

Let’s talk about the role

Direct the work of a creative team of editors, motion 3D designers including both direct reports and in-direct reports who work as a team to support creative for a specific line of business. Lead and mentor creatives in strategies, innovative design techniques and new marketing approaches, including experiential, to continually elevate work across all channels.Lead creative review sessions with assigned team and with Global Creative Director and provide thoughtful, inspiring feedback to assigned team to continually elevate the work.Develop a deep understanding of ResMed audiences and their journeys to identify ways our creative can be most effective in driving results.Ensure all creative content aligns with strategic objectives and satisfy all requirements of the brief.Facilitate and guide strategic thinking during creative kick-off meetings, brainstorming sessions and client presentations.Exercise strong storytelling talent to create engaging narratives that captivate audiences and move them toward desired action.Lead presentation of creative to internal clients using compelling storytelling and clear insight into the “why” to connect concepts with strategy and win support for the work of assigned team.Develop strong, trusted partnerships with peers and key constituents across the organization and help build an effective community of practice in collaboration with other creative and design leaders across the organization.Collaborate with the Delivery/Project Management team in estimating level of effort for project initiatives and advise on creative staffing requirements/needs when necessary.Ensure that the creative team continually delivers high-quality work in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.Provide hands-on creative (i.e., editing, design, production) and collaborate with other team leads as needed.Offer organizational, management, and process ideas to leadership and peers to foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence that enables best-in-class creative.Promote use of the in-house agency across the organization as opportunities arise.

Let’s talk about you

Bachelor’s degree in film, art or design or related field.10 years of related experience with 7+ years of creative direction (ACD or CD level) in agency, production company or corporate setting.Specific experience with marketing product.Proven track record of success in a design leadership role managing and mentoring a team
and leading award-winning motion content design work.Evidence of strong aesthetic judgement around video creation, cinematography, editorial, motion graphics, VFX, animation and 3D rendering.Fluency across digital, social, and broadcast.A leadership style that prioritizes clarity, team empowerment and ownership of assigned projects.Experience partnering with both content and brand teams to create consistent brand experiences across all touch points and to push and evolve the brand.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills. 

This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance. 

Base Pay Range for this position: 

$150,000- $188,000

  

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
