Reporting to the General Manager Specialty Care and Country Lead Canada, the Head of New Products Launch Specialty Care will oversee the strategic planning, market development, and execution of commercial launches for all the upcoming launches such as NextGen immunology (including amlitelimab, rilzabrutinib, and lunsekimig), neurology (incl. tolebrutinib), rare disorders assets in Canada. This role will manage and lead a team of 2 Commercial Launch Leads, ensuring alignment with global strategies and successful market entry.


 

Main Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Commercial Launch team, providing strategic direction and oversight for all launch activities.

Provide comprehensive launch strategies for new products from the specialty care pipeline, aligning with the company's business objectives.

Oversee the assessment of market value and development of business cases for new products.

Ensure business cases/P&L development,

Manage development of effective go-to-market strategies, considering end-to-end commercialization needs

Identify critical success factors for launches – from pre-launch to launch activities implementation and monitor execution.

Generate key insights and strategic recommendations to advance market recognition and measure key performance indicators.

Align with Market Access & Public Affairs teams for payer market research and pricing strategies.

Partner with Market Access and GTMC Insight & Analytics teams to evaluate market trends and optimize product access.

Work closely with medical and R&D teams to align on Canadian clinical development activities

Influence cross-functional stakeholders to prepare the market for upcoming launches.

Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and investment proposals related to commercial launches.

Represent Canada in global teams, ensuring alignment with global marketing and launch strategies.

As a member of the Specialty Care Canada Leadership Team, contribute to the strategic development and operational efficiencies of Specialty Care business.

Ensure all practices are underpinned by current research and/or evidence that is focused on improving the lives of patients.

Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration with internal cross functional (e.g. medical, market access, public affairs, regulatory, PV etc.) and external stakeholders.

Identify areas for improvement (e.g. simplification of processes, people development, sharing and innovation, and additional business or organizational opportunities).

Embody science driven and patient focused culture and actively demonstrate company values of integrity, courage, respect, and teamwork.

Act as a sponsor and ally for inclusion and diversity in all elements of our business.

Comply with all forms of legal and statutory regulation within domain of responsibility, including compliance with applicable SOPs, industry codes of practice and best practices, and actively support and promote a compliance culture and safe environment throughout the organization.

About You:

Proven leadership experience in the pharma/biopharma industry with a strong track record in commercial success and product launches.

Excellent relationship management and organizational skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to distill and communicate key insights effectively.

Global experience or prior international assignment is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of relevant industry experience with a focus on product launches and commercial strategy.

Prior people management experience is required.
