What you’ll do & Who you areWe're looking for a spider in the web to coordinate the changes we are making to the Marktplaats/2dehands product and technology setup. As the head of P&T transformation operations you will:
Oversee programme management of decoupling key product, data and technical capabilities currently owned globally
Oversee programme management of standing up local IT services
Coordinate offshoring pilot programme
You will report directly to the CTO of the BNL organisation and participate in various leadership structures.
You are expected to build and form a small team of project/programme managers who will be responsible to define processes to bridge the global and local cadences, provide tracking and insights on progress and incurred costs, track dependencies, mitigating risks and facilitate pro-active decision making to ensure timely delivery.
What you'll do:
With the objective of accelerating Marktplaats delivery through autonomy you and your team will work closely with engineering managers, product managers, and cross-functional teams across Marktplaats and various global teams based in Europe. Your expertise will ensure our programmes are not only structured effectively but also aligned with Marktplaats’s bold growth objectives.
In order to provide the extra needed capacity you will oversee the ramp-up of offshore teams in India (as a pilot). As we have started to expand our capacity using an offshoring setup in India for which you will manage the vendor and budget.
Who you are:
You have establishment and leadership of large mission-critical complex technology and business change programmes specifically focusing on capability ownership transitions in a technology (digital native) company.
Degree Business Management/Technology
3+ years proven experience as a programme officer
Project and programme management skills including Agile methodologies
Experience managed programmes across geographically distributed teams
Experience in a dynamic P&T-relevant programs in a Digital native organisation
Excellent management, team leadership & influencing skills
Excellent knowledge of budget management, risks/issues management
Excellent organisational and leadership skills with business acumen and ability in implementing major product and technology change
A data driven mind-set with great problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills
Work collaboratively in a hybrid work model (3-4 days a week in the office)
You must be currently resident of the Netherlands and legally able to work here.
