Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Partnerships to lead our efforts in developing strategic relationships with SaaS providers, eCommerce platforms, and fintechs focused on embedded finance. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing partnerships that drive our growth in point-of-sale lending and related payments products offered across U.S. Bank.

U.S. Bank Avvance was started as de novo business within U.S. Bank to drive growth in B2B2C market focused on point-of-sale lending. The ideal candidate has been here before – has depth of experience in the embedded finance space, knows the competitive landscape and can navigate the complexities of a large bank to drive durable partnerships that deliver value to all participants. Success in this role requires both intellectual curiosity evidenced by great listening skills and uncanny ability to close deals that produce tangible results. Demonstrated success in prior fintech partnership roles is a must.

Key Responsibilities:Partnership Strategy Development: Create and execute a scalable partnership strategy to integrate our POS lending solution into SaaS and embedded finance platforms.Market Research: Identify emerging trends in embedded finance and SaaS that align with our growth objectives.Relationship Management: Build and nurture strategic relationships with high-potential prospects focused on high growth and targeted industries.Negotiation & Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations, ensuring win-win agreements for all parties involved.Product Integration: Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and compliance teams to design seamless embedded financial solutions, and see partnership through activation and GTM activities.API Integration: Oversee the integration of banking solutions into partner platforms, ensuring deep understanding and use of APIs and end-to-end integration processes.Revenue Growth: Drive revenue generation and customer acquisition through partnership channels.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all partnerships comply with regulatory requirements and align with risk management policies.Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing matrixed performance culture across bank areas required for long-term success.Qualifications:Experience: 7+ years in partnerships, business development, or product marketing roles within fintech, SaaS, banking, or related industries. Strongly candidate with evidence of success identifying partnership opportunities that have monetized at scale.Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of embedded finance, point of sale lending / BNPL, and API-driven integrations.Technical Fluency: Demonstrated understanding of API architecture, integration processes, and SaaS business models.Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement scalable partnership strategies.Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.Analytical Skills: Ability to assess partnership impact on business KPIs and adapt strategies accordingly.Leadership: Experience building strong cross-functional relationships across large organizations with demonstrated and sustainable success.Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00 - $164,120.00
