About our Team
 

This is a global team that helps process accurate and compliant payroll for a large, multinational organization. The scope for RELX US & Canada Payroll
includes all 5 divisions of RELX (Corporate, Scientific Technical and Medical, Legal, Risk and Exhibitions), as well as any acquired companies going forward.
 

About the Role
 

You will lead the payroll function for the US and Canada, responsible for the accurate and compliant payment of over 15,000 employees. You will directly manage a team of 10 payroll professionals, located both onshore and offshore.
 

Responsibilities

Ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for over 15,000 US and Canada employees. This includes relevant deductions, benefits and other items.Developing and documenting processes, controls, and governance for compliance with regulationsCreating a best-in-class employee experience for pay and reward deliveryBuilding robust stakeholder relationships across RELX, including Tax, Finance, and Human ResourcesManaging risks and developing mitigation strategiesWorking closely with vendor partners to monitor and evaluate payroll services to drive continuous improvementSupporting and developing the US/Canada payroll team


Requirements

Exhibit extensive experience in US payroll management, with a proven track record of effectively overseeing a sizable workforce.Be knowledgeable in leading payroll solutions, with experience in Dayforce.Have an educational background in business, Finance/Accounting, or related field is required; having a Certified Payroll Professional credential is advantageousPossess deep experience in multi-state payroll operations and compliance requirementsHave experience in building, leading, and developing diverse teamsBe adept at managing demanding situations requiring rapid resolutionDemonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and experience in building personal networksPossess advanced skills in Excel and SmartsheetsMust be able to travel to our Dayton, OH office 1-2 times per month
