Head Of People Function

The People Function Team at Allianz Technology is shaping our organization to be ‘the place of IT’ for our people and facilitating our organization’s mission to be the Partner of Choice for IT. Reporting to the Head of People Function CTO3, you will be responsible for driving the People Function for Allianz Technology Malaysia, defining the local People Strategy in alignment with our Global standards, and ensuring a smooth employee experience along the entire people cycle.

 

Main Tasks and areas of responsibility:

 

1) People Leadership & People Business Partnering

Lead the People Function in Allianz Technology Malaysia by setting up, then providing leadership and guidance to the People Function team.

Serve as the most senior HR advisor for Allianz Technology Malaysia to the business for all People related topics along the entire People Value Chain (recruiting, on/off-boarding, engagement, compensation, performance, promotions, well-being, safety and other people functions).

Forge strong partnership with Executives and provide management and leadership coaching as required.

Define the People Strategy for Allianz Technology Malaysia while ensuring alignment to regional and global standards and the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.

Work closely with the Head of People Function CTO3 to refine the HR operating model for Malaysia, ensuring compliance with People processes and guidelines, as well as the quality, efficiency and fit to business needs of HR processes.

Utilize relevant HR data to provide insights to support business needs.

Manage the provision of HR services from external and internal vendors (e.g.: payroll,), including setting service level agreement expectations, pricing negotiations, contract renewal/extension, and vendors relationship management.

 

2) Talent Management, Rewards and Performance

Partner closely with local and global Rewards & Performance/People Centers of Expertise to define the local talent and rewards strategy.

Drive the execution of the Allianz Technology group talent management, performance management and salary adjustment processes in Malaysia

 

3) HR projects

Support business transformation projects by taking the lead in terms of People topics and ensuring that the local HR resources are deployed appropriately.

Contribute as needed to Regional/Global HR projects and initiatives

 

4) Employee Engagement

Partner with the business to ensure appropriate follow up actions/planning post the Annual Employee Engagement Survey to enable high employee engagement

 

5) Workforce Planning

Consult with managers to analyze current and future talent needs and work closely with Strategic Workforce Planning to define and implement a workforce strategy plan that supports business objectives.

 

Key Requirements

Degree qualified.

At least 8-10 years of relevant experience, leading and participating in HR & organizational transformations.

Experience working with C-suit leadership and ability to manage relationships at that level with assertiveness and proactiveness.

Track record and reputation as a trusted advisor who can influence business leaders and the direction of the organization.

Good understanding of Malaysia labor laws.

Strong business and financial acumen with a good understanding of the entire HR value chain.

Experience working in a multinational set up, with matrix/multiple reporting lines.

Experience leading a team and defining people strategy is advantage
