Head of Placement

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Head of Placement to lead our placement team in Thailand. This role is pivotal in developing and executing placement strategies that align with our business objectives and enhance our market position. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in placement and client management.

The MMB Head of Placement is responsible for developing the Thailand placement strategy and value proposition, driving additional placement revenue, building relationships with key carriers and managing the MMB placement operations and governance across the market.

Responsible for driving client focused and commercial placement outcomes across the entire portfolio of Thailand MMB business.  All activities to be aligned with the regional and global placement strategy to ensure a consistent approach and outcome where possible.

We will count on you to:

Develops and executes the MMB placement strategy

Owns and manages governance for MMB placement 

Responsible for achieving placement revenue targets

Develop and maintain market leading placement capability across MMB including carrier engagement model

Lead placement team including oversight of all EH&B renewals focusing on key corporate accounts including regional and global clients

Identify opportunities to grow revenues through placement and market related initiatives ie: Facilities, COE’s, Carrier Consulting Services 

Ensure the Placement team lead and maintain the placement and product relationships with all providers to ensure we are delivering the best possible outcomes for our client facing teams and clients.

Provide oversight and leadership to placement teams in responding to tenders to ensure a consistent approach to pricing structures and usage of carries across Thailand

Standardize client reporting and related documentation related to renewals and market tenders

Create connections and build relationships with key carriers

Drive product development, innovation and brand with insurance carries

Support colleagues to adhere to compliance standards and practices to ensure placement related E&Os are at an acceptable level

Ensure strong collaboration between placement team and client teams to deliver distinctive client value

Key member of Regional Placement leadership team

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance placement, underwriting, or brokerage, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of the insurance market and regulatory environment.

Strong placement operation experience, analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Previous experience in placement, ideally across product, operations and carrier management

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Fluency in English; proficiency
