Job Description

BAC UK is hiring a Head of Pricing to lead the company’s New Business function. This role will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Start-up

Develop pricing tools, policies and processes to support the launch of the BAC UK businessWork with the Head of Origination to ensure that BAC UK has a competitive pricing basis and new business proposition that provides sufficient differentiation from the competitionWork with the CTO to ensure BAC UK has current market and competitive data at all times to facilitate agile decision makingSupport the Head of Origination with the preparation of marketing and proposal materials to support BAC UK’s market entry

Business as usual

Manage the pricing pipeline to ensure all bids are delivered on timeWork with the CTO to develop the pricing platform to achieve efficiency gainsEnsure high standards of quality and accuracy across all bidsDeliver all material bids to second line for review in advance of the submission of the bidSupport annual third line reviews of the pricing methodology and approachReport to the Board on market competitiveness of the businessSupport the development of bespoke solutions for schemes where this is required to facilitate a transaction, leveraging the skills within BNREProject sponsor for initiatives to develop BAC UK’s Pricing capabilities, and drive these projects forward to executionContribute to the overall management of the business as a member of the Senior Management Team

Required Skills and ExperienceQualified Actuary10+ years of direct financial services-related experience requiredExtensive experience working with EBCs in the UKExperience of PRA and FCA regulationsInsurance sector experience and knowledge of bulk annuitiesExcellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to multi-task, prioritize deliverables, and work well under pressure and deadlinesPossesses high professional standards and exemplifies exceptional integrity and credibility with strong relationship management skillsAbility to manage and balance competing interests of multiple stakeholders and positively manage conflictWorks well in a team-based environmentStrong oral and written communication skills
