We are now moving to the next phase in our digital development and investing further in digital capabilities. By engaging our customers, suppliers, and the entire Metso organization, we aim to empower the minerals and metals industry with digital-enabled value-creating solutions.

 

To support our ambition, we are seeking the Head of Process Optimization to join our digital organization.

 

You will report to the Vice President, Process Performance in this position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our digital solutions portfolio along its lifecycle

 

This position is preferably located in Finland, but the location is flexible as the most crucial aspect is a perfect match for this position, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

Team, you will lead

 

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to driving innovation and continuously enhancing digital solutions to solve our customers’ most advanced process challenges, such as improving operational efficiency, sustainable use of natural resources and labor shortages. The team resides within the Minerals segment of Digital organization. Process Optimization is responsible for developing and delivering digital solutions such as GeminexTM, Geminex Operator Training Simulator (OTS), SmartTagTM Ore Tracking System, hydrometallurgical intelligent instruments, and digital solutions.

 

We work closely with our end users, development teams and internal stakeholders.

 

What you’ll do

 

Contribute to your team's success and lead according to Metso values and leadership principles. Business owner of Process Optimization digital solutions, defining the business strategy and long-term vision of the products. Accountable for the profitable growth of Process Optimization digital solutions, including go-to-market strategy. Develop the customer base by working closely with our Market Area sales organization and interacting with customers. Responsible for the Process Optimization development project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic targets and efficient allocation of resources. Accountable for the successful delivery of Process Optimization customer contracts. Facilitate the creation, implementation, and delivery of innovative digital solutions. Build and manage relationships with other teams and key stakeholders in a dynamic organizational environment. Promote a proactive safety culture. 
 

 

 

Who you are

 

You have expertise and experience in dynamic simulation and optimization techniques, including data-driven and AI algorithms and models, preferably in the minerals and metals industry. You have a M.Sc. education or higher. You have experience in the development and deployment of digital solutions such as model-based solvers or digital twins used for real-time process optimization You have experience related to business strategy and commercialization of digital & automation products and services. You can convey messages effectively through verbal communication and presentations.  You have a solid executive presence and the ability to foster relationships and influence customers in the mining industry.
