About the role What you need to know: This role focuses on Global Sourcing & Procurement Services, with regional responsibility for Business Services & Corporate Real Estate managing the region’s procurement portfolio and accompanying business services. + Global Sourcing & Procurement Services: Manage third party sourcing and contracting engagements including supplier relationships across Professional Services, Technology, and Indirect Services + Real Estate Services: Ensure professional property & facility management, supporting Health, Safety & Ergonomics, performing project and move management on demand, space planning and management of critical infrastructure. + Corporate Services: Manage a portfolio of services around A/V equipment, document management, fleet management, mail distribution, reception, mobile telephony & more. + Security Services: Adherence of standards in access control systems and CCTV + Business Continuity Services: Compliance with all global requirements regarding BCP, BIA, Disaster Recover, IMT, including all mandatory documentation, training and exercise plans. What You’ll Do: + Key point of contact to the GI Regional Leadership team. Coordination and integration of General Insurance requirements to the Global Sourcing & Procurement Services, Real Estate & Business Services strategies. + Lead a team of professionals across AIG’s Asia Pacific & China portfolio (13 countries) to ensure the smooth running of office operations and drive continuous improvements in employees’ office experience and sourcing, contracting and engagement of third party suppliers of goods & services. + Work with local country leadership/ sub-business units to develop and implement processes and procedures to standardize the services levels across geographies. + Collaborate with global internal partners on regional strategic reviews of vendor strategy covering but not limited to Fleet, Mailroom, Janitorial, Catering, Office Supplies, Record Storage, Facilities Management etc. in addition to Technology and Professional Service engagements + Regularly communicate with key regional and local country business unit leadership on strategy, initiatives, metrics and value-add opportunities and stay connected/integrate (as appropriate) on business unit strategy, challenges and initiatives. + Build collaborative relationships with AIG’s internal business partners as well as strategic relationships with our suppliers + Earn the business partner’s respect and serves as a Trusted Advisor by understanding their priorities and challenges; assessing their needs on an ongoing basis; and managing their expectations + Ensure team and local processes are compliant with AIG policies and with Regulatory requirements. Meet deliverables for local Regulatory examination and ensure timely closure of issues raised. + Involvement and ownership of local budget process, management of occupancy and departmental budget and expense levels. + People and team leadership for the APAC & China regions focusing on talent and career development and employee experience. + Actively manage multiple highly visible, time-sensitive activities, effectively interfacing with all levels of management, and efficiently ensuring the sourcing process is completed consistent with AIG’s policies and goals + Drive all aspects of complex strategic sourcing processes including but not limited to taking lead on contract negotiations of business and pricing terms and conditions, conducting research and providing benchmark data on pricing and/or other key terms and conditions, facilitating RFPs, and working with the internal business partners to develop negotiations strategies, objectives and plans. + Lead cross functional teams (i.e. legal, risk, technology, compliance, etc.) throughout the sourcing, benchmarking/business case development, vendor management, negotiations, contracting and standards. + Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies and maintain procurement ethics in accordance with AIG’s global policies. What we’re looking for: + Strong experience in a Corporate Support/Consulting/Sourcing role + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or Supply Chain/Procurement preferred + Self-motivated and collaborative leader with a strong experience in leadership or regional management. + Deep category subject matter expertise with the ability to translate strategies into executable models. + Extremely customer-focused, strong stakeholder management and ability to take the time to understand the needs of the business. + Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization. + Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly synthesize distill and draw conclusions on large amounts of disparate data. + Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. + Deep knowledge of deploying centralized Sourcing & Procurement or Real Estate solutions including strategic levers and tactics. + Strong ability to influence others with excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong packaging and presentation skills with the ability to explain supply & demand levers and complex pricing & evaluation models. + Strong financial analysis skills; proficiency in understanding and communicating key financial management metrics + Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with senior management. + Ability to work independently and with cross-functional/ multi-cultural team This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is having a daily impact on our company success!
