The challenge

We need a strong Retail Product leader to join our team, working globally to optimise our physical locations and be a thought leader for the walk-up part of our omni-channel future.
This role is key to our future success, with huge growth potential in this space, where the right candidate will bring fresh ideas, trialing new store concepts to deliver transformation in this space.
What you’ll do as a Head of Product:
Own the roadmap for your product, across multiple time horizons, defining the path towards maximum outcomes with minimal output, doing so based in Data and Insight
Cultivate a culture of fail-fast, seeking to test-and-learn new ideas, doing so in a way which provides maximum feedback for minimum viability risk
Enhance existing experiences and be able to take new journeys from 0-1
Take the lead in global discussions regarding Product Strategy, working closely with peers to forge strong omni-channel journeys for our customers
Work closely with Customer Insight and Product Marketing team members to ensure we’re solving the right customer problems and maximising product reach
Take ownership of any vendor(s) within your remit, including bringing in new vendors or capabilities needed to achieve your vision
Optimise the Total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) for your Product, identifying opportunities to maximise business viability
Retail Specific considerations:
Own the full store experience, from fully self-service to concierge sales, optimising our ability to meet customers’ needs
Identify opportunities to test new concepts, backed by market research and data
Optimise colleague experiences, maximising their ability to serve customers
Drive data-culture, ensuring your team have a finger on the pulse for spikes in behaviour as well as long-term trends
How you’ll do it as a Head of Product:
Form strong relationships across the business, being able to flex communication styles to land messages with the Exec. and Developers in equal measure
Lead multiple skill sets, either directly or indirectly, coaching Product Led thinking and setting the tone to drive the business forwards
Forge career paths for your team, identifying succession plans and opportunities to cultivate a growth mindset
Mentor less experienced team members outside of your reports, seeking to make product as a whole a stronger unit
Own recruitment, ensuring you have the right skill mix to achieve your product vision
