The Amazon Music Business Development team is looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management – Technical to lead our Partner & Developer products and services. Your team drives the integration of Amazon Music on 3rd party devices and applications through self-service developer tools, solution architecture services, and the development of innovative partner integrations. This role drives the roadmap for a set of core software services for partners (e.g. 3P APIs, SDKs, onboarding tools) but also must index highly on think big/innovation when building new, integrations/customer proposition that unlock future growth opportunities and develop new business models.
The team is comprised of product, engineering/solutions architecture and technical program management. It collaborates closely with BD, partner marketing, UX, legal, business intelligence, and the broader product/engineering organization, in addition to working directly with 3P partners. This is a global team that is spread across the US, Mexico, and Europe. This is a key leadership position on the AM BD team, and in addition to overseeing your team you will help shape strategy and support the broader BD organization to operate more efficiently and up-level product-led thinking and strategy.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and execute long-term strategic vision and product strategy for 3rd party developer services and tools, which includes APIs, SDKs/Toolkits, and Self-Service Onboarding.
• Lead and develop a diverse and geographically dispersed team across Product, Engineering, and Solution Architecture functions, with responsibility for recruiting, mentoring, and developing technical product leaders
• Own the end-to-end product experience across partner integrations, and guide strategic technical decisions that impact our ability to scale and innovate
• Responsible for creating and maintaining a product roadmap and prioritization framework across multiple stakeholders, driving measurable growth in partner MAUs and listening hours.
• Generate buy-in for the product vision with leadership, partner teams and partners, managing strategic communications both internally and externally
• Define and launch new game-changing products and services that drive growth for Amazon Music through partnerships and support our BD strategy
• Anticipate future opportunities based on evaluating the business opportunity and application of new and emerging technologies and changing digital media consumption.
• Lead product and technical discussions with partners and internal stakeholders, manage prioritization providing clear direction on complex technical trade-offs, and ensuring all solutions meet Amazon's high bar for technical excellence and customer experience.
A day in the life
In this role, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and delivery for new and existing partner experiences. Your customers are partners as well as Amazon Music customers. As part of the Global Business Development team, you will lead the product and engineering team and take on challenging and varied product opportunities with autonomy and high visibility. You will work closely with business development, design, marketing and other product and engineering teams to bring new products to market. Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of team management experience
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience successfully developing strategy and delivering complex technical products at scale
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with music streaming technologies and digital media platforms
- Track record of building and launching developer platforms or APIs
- Experience managing technical partnerships with major technology companies
- MBA or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience leading geographically distributed teams
- History of mentoring and developing technical product leaders
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
