Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and control of plant production. Ensure that goods are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.

Core Responsibilities.

Manage and coordinate the production function at the plantTranslate plant/operations production strategy into action plans and ensure it’s implementationContribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)Ensure the achievement of production targets according to internal and external customer expectationsInitiate and control investments for production equipment (e.g. production machines, assembly equipment)Interface to segment, BU and or division functions in order to gather local production requirements and demands and other feedback Participate in and/or steer global or local production-related and cross-functional projectsConduct employee dialogues, personnel development, and coachingSupport production performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. regarding cost, lead time, quality, scrap, waste, energy, OEE, etc.) in cooperation with manufacturing engineering and plant controllingPrepare, review, and manage the budget and forecast of production cost centers and ensure that the financial goals are metEnsure the fulfillment of the daily and monthly production plan and corrective actions with relevant departmentsMaintain compliance with requirements regarding ESHResponsible for shop floor training management (i.e. education and training of variable staff for production and logistics processes)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment including 2+ years of proven ability to lead and manage people.  14+ years of manufacturing experience including 2+ years of proven ability to lead and manage people in lieu of a Bachelor’s DegreeStrong Written and Verbal Communication SkillsStrong MS Office skills.  Strong in ExcelAbility to manage Budgets and ForecastingGood interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple departments and/or BU areas
