About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Head of Project Controls to lead and manage our Project Controls function, comprising a growing team of over 70 specialists who work to ensure strategic alignment between project execution, business growth, and client engagement.

The Head of Project Controls is responsible for overseeing project performance metrics, cost control, risk management, and scheduling while playing a crucial role in expanding our business portfolio and strengthening client relationships.

As the head of the department, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to optimize operational efficiency and contribute to the company's long-term vision.

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

Develop and implement project control strategies aligned with corporate objectives to enhance business growth and profitability.Collaborate with executive leadership to define short-term and long-term business goals for project controls and overall project management functions.Lead the preparation of project control-related proposals and presentations for business acquisition and client engagement.Develop and implement best practices for cost estimation, forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and resource allocation.Optimize the use of digital tools and technology to enhance project control capabilities and reporting efficiency.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing project controls team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Establish and maintain project controls frameworks, including cost management, scheduling, risk analysis, and reporting.Ensure timely and accurate project performance reporting, providing insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.Monitor and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope constraints.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred15+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, and schedulingStrong technical leadership of teams in the delivery of projects focused on delivering for the Client.Strong knowledge of project control methodologies, tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP), and financial forecasting techniques.Experience of working with the USA, Canada, UK&I, ANZ, and/or ME will be highly valuable.Experience in working with design teams located in different countries and ability to gain client confidence and trust, through strong technical communication skills. Fluent in English (spoken and written).
