Key responsibilities:
To ensure projects deliver to cost, schedule and performance commitments
To deliver the necessary capacity of Project Management function through proactive recruitment
To grow the capability of the Project Management function through training and personal development of the Project Management team
To grow the efficiency/productivity of Project Management function through development and delivery of improvement initiatives
To provide PM input and deliverability assurance to OME UK bids
To ensure robust transition from Bid to Project
To direct the Project Management team to deliver annual objectives
To ensure all necessary processes, procedures and regulations are adhered to
To participate in all necessary Operations meetings and reviews to ensure delivery of projects across functions
To deliver all aspects of line management activities for all Project Management team
About you:
You will have a relevant degree (or equivalent) as well as a background in the delivery of complex projects across all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept development, through manufacturing to in-service support.
You will have a background in delivery, must be able to handle complex technical solutions within industrial organisations and will possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of project management.
Lastly, experience in bid management and business winning will be beneficial as well as experience of all aspects of the product lifecycle.
Security clearance requirements:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a sole British National from birth and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
