In this role, you will be part of the Group External Relations team handling and fostering relationships with all key external bodies.
**What is the job about?**
As Head of, Public Affairs - India you will lead Public Affairs / External Relations in the country and plan, develop and execute initiatives and activities that creates true business impact for Grundfos in India.
The primary responsibility is to engage with and influence government bodies at federal level as well as in selected states besides relevant associations to support sustainability as well as business opportunities, thus at the same time position Grundfos.
You will collaborate closely with our Country President, India and regional business leaders across the divisions, besides group functions such as Sustainability, Communication, Branding, RTA (Regulatory and Technical Affairs) etc.
**Key accountabilities:**
+ Responsible for planning and executing External Relations plan in India aligned and agreed with Country President, divisional stakeholders as well as Global External Relations (including being budget accountable) to support business development in India and hereby positioning Grundfos.
+ Effectively monitor and evaluate relevant government policies/regulations in India and hereby ensure transparency into to support impact assessment.
+ Establish solid connections with key govt. authorities and selected industry. associations/thinktanks which have strong influence on business and sustainability.
+ Enlarging network among key stakeholders in the Indian public sector – map the stakeholders and strategic key stakeholder engagements.
+ Arrange and conduct events promoting the sustainability agenda and Grundfos.
+ Influence the public agenda by being a visible communicator promoting the sustainability agenda, like writing whitepapers and other public appearances.
+ Collaborate with other influencers that share our Sustainability agenda like academic institutions, other companies, and non-profit organizations.
+ Represent the company at key business associations to jointly advance market position
**Key Success Factors**
Intelligence:
+ Effectively monitor and evaluate government policies/regulations in India.
+ Converting the political intelligence (also covering sustainability aspects) into Grundfos impact understood by relevant colleagues.
Relations:
+ Documented strong relations established, providing documented insights and impact, e.g. within key govt. authorities etc. besides industry associations/thinktanks which have strong influence on business.Number of meetings with key stakeholders in the Indian public sector.
Business impact:
+ Documented business results recognized by divisional piers etc.
+ The visibility of Grundfos´ Sustainability ambitions on climate/energy and water in India – and specifically in chosen Indian states.

**Your Background**
+ Bachelor's / master’s in business or public administration, political science with at least 18 - 25 years ofexperience working with influencing the Public Sector in India and with a strong business mindset
+ Experience in the Sustainability agenda is highly advantageous
+ Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in a large engineering organization is strongly preferred
+ Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders is essential
+ Solid knowledge of the processes and activities within the functional area of public relations.
+ Proven ability to influence others
+ Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations in India
+ Willingness to travel both in India and abroad
