YOUR MISSION

That’s why we’re looking for a Head of Public Affairs & PR to shape and drive our engagement with Italy’s political, social, and institutional ecosystem.
This is a high-impact role where you will lead the Public Affairs and Communication department, reporting to the Operations & Policy Director. You’ll be part of the Italian leadership team, managing a small team and working closely with the General Manager, regional, and global teams to shape and implement Glovo’s public affairs strategy in Italy.
THE JOURNEY
Define and manage Glovo Italy’s Public Affairs, Government & Communication strategy. Lead trade union relations, maintaining an open dialogue while defending Glovo’s interests. Oversee and drive Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations, working closely with trade unions, business teams, and industry associations to ensure alignment with Glovo’s business model. Monitor and analyze policy, social, legal, and institutional trends, assessing their impact on Glovo and identifying opportunities for positive change. Build and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders, including public institutions, political parties, trade unions, think tanks, NGOs, and industry associations. Oversee Public Relations, ensuring consistency in messaging across strategic engagements. Manage crisis communications as needed, ensuring a proactive and strategic approach to reputational risks. Spearhead the Italian Impact & Sustainability strategy, leading CSR initiatives that reinforce Glovo’s role as a responsible corporate citizen. Represent Glovo within an international network of policy professionals dedicated to a socially and environmentally sustainable future. Ensure compliance with national and EU-level laws and regulations, monitoring legislative developments that impact Glovo’s operations. Develop regulatory and legislative proposals that align with and support Glovo’s business strategies.WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
5+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or industrial relations. We’re also open to candidates with leadership experience in legal & corporate affairs, corporate communications & PR, consulting, or the public sector who are looking for a career transition. A deep passion for tech and the digital economy – previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus. A strong understanding of the political, social, and economic landscape influencing business and policy decisions in Italy. Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills – you’re a natural at building relationships, persuading, and mobilizing diverse groups around shared goals. Fluency in Italian and English. Alignment with Glovo’s values.
