About the Role: The Head of Public Demands (Brazil) is a strategic leadership role focused on developing and implementing policies to shape public affairs and navigate regulatory landscapes. This position will be responsible for overseeing the company’s interactions with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and key industry associations, ensuring our business remains compliant and well-positioned amidst evolving regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage resource allocation and oversee budgeting for the function. Develop regulatory strategies aligned with business goals and objectives. Direct the company's regulatory engagement, ensuring both compliance with existing laws and proactive advocacy for future legislation beneficial to the industry. Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, policymakers, and key external stakeholders. Guide communications strategies, including the preparation of reports, presentations, and policy papers for various stakeholders.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous. Extensive experience in public or regulatory affairs with a background in a leadership position. Proven expertise in managing complex regulatory frameworks and influencing policy. Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory environments on both a national and international scale. Strong leadership abilities, with experience in team motivation and management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with senior stakeholders, government officials, and external partners. Strategic thinker with the ability to foresee regulatory challenges and a solution-oriented mindset. Skilled in crisis management and adept at making sound decisions under pressure.
