To strengthen our team, we are looking to fill the position of Head of Rare Diseases & Epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities:
The Head of Epilepsy and Rare Disease monitors the design and execution of tailored strategies for achieving Brazil strategic and financial goals in partnership with specific internal stakeholders across the ecosystems.
• Leads the cross-functional Epilepsy and Rare Disease Leadership Team of Marketing, Medical Leads as well as the leadership team.
• Responsible to deliver financial targets, driving growth and profitability and fully accountable for the team performance and the product P&L.
• Ensures resources and initiatives are deployed/re-allocated in an agile way to drive highest possible value through in-depth knowledge of ecosystem(s) drivers in therapeutic areas.
• Ensures that strategy is adjusted to local needs and generated insights, in alignment with product’s global and Brazil strategic priorities, maximizing patient value creation and developing brand objectives.
• Demonstrates long-term strategic commitment to our pipeline by early alignment with the respective mission, medical and access stakeholders and setting up local launch-teams to prepare best in class launches.
• Supports strategic level discussions and gathering appropriate market insights from KOL, as well as Payers, Patient networks, and other key stakeholders.
• Leads the deployment of our PVS culture with patient centricity by embedding PVS principles into teams to establish a sustainable competitive advantage.
• Works in close collaboration with the relevant local, ICW teams to ensure implementation of UCBs’ brand strategies and priorities adapted to local market needs.
• Drives innovation by use of digitalization opportunities such as AI, Digital assistant, omnichannel approach, etc.
• Multi-functional leadership of Marketing and Medical Strategy Leads, together with other transversal functions needed to optimize launches, such as Access Leads, Patient Engagement.
• Leverage synergies across PVUs, Access, Digital, Medical Ops and cross functions taking the most from our treatments to increase access and impact to Brazil HPCs, patients and families.
• Drives a culture of collaboration, agility, growth mindset, accountability, performance and integrity.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree;
Strong experience in healthcare-related areas such as sales, marketing, market access, and/or the medical field;
Experience leading cross-functional and/or matrix teams;
Experience in the healthcare system;
Fluent English;
