Responsible for overseeing the design, implementation and management of the retail banking technology infrastructure. This role combines leadership in IT engineering with an understanding of the banking industry’s unique requirements, focusing on enhancing customer experience, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the growth of digital banking services.
Key Responsibiilties:
Build and manage relationships with CIOs and other senior technology & business stakeholders across ING group, including retail, finance, risk, global infrastructure and CISO.Act as a trusted partner by enabling ING entities to meet their strategtic technology objectives, accelerate delivery and realize tangible business benefitsManage a large team of engineers (1000+), build and sustain a high-performance engineering culture. Develop and execute relevant strategies and plans for workforce management and employee engagement. Drive sustained high levels of productivity and monitor the same via appropriate performance metrics and KPIs.Provide strong oversight and risk management at all times thereby ensuring that work delivered by your teams is safe, compliant and is within risk appetite.Own the budget and financials for the team, rationalize cost of delivery to keep the cost structure competitive and fair.Contribute towards Hubs PH and ING meeting their environment & sustainability targetsThe role hierarchically reports into the Country Manager, ING Hubs PH and functionally into the Global Retail CIO
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Extensive experience in IT Leadership roles within the banking/financial services industry particulary in retail banking operations.
Leadership Skills: Strong Leadership and team management abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving digital transformation initiatives.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem solving-skills to address complex IT challenges in a fast-paced baking environment.
This role is critical for driving innovation, improving customer experiences, and ensuring the security and compliance of retail banking technology platforms in a competitive digital banking landscape.
