Today, we are recruiting for a Head of Sales & Bid to join our team in Turkey. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

 

What are my responsibilities?

Develop and lead sales strategies targeting key sectors such as rail, urban mobility, and integrated transport solutions. Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales and Bid team to meet revenue targets and ensure customer satisfaction. Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key clients, government agencies, and strategic partners. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. Lead efforts in market analysis, customer segmentation, and identification of key growth areas. Formulate long-term business strategies aligned with Siemens Mobility’s global and regional objectives. Drive innovation in emerging sectors like digitalization, autonomous transportation, and sustainability. Collaborate closely with internal departments (Engineering, R&D, Operations, etc.) to ensure cohesive execution of strategic goals. Work in partnership with the Siemens Mobility global network to align Türkiye’s business development strategies with global initiatives. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across Siemens Türkiye and other Siemens Mobility regions. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Sales and Bid department. Manage the department’s P&L, ensuring financial targets and budget requirements are met. Lead the development of sales forecasts, performance reviews, and strategic reviews with senior management.  

What do I need to qualify for this job?

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or similar qualification is highly desirable. 10-15 years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic planning within the mobility, transportation, or technology sectors. A proven track record in sales leadership, with experience in the Turkish or international market. Experience with public tenders, large infrastructure projects, and complex sales processes is advantageous. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong P&L management, budget oversight, and business forecasting skills. Fluency in Turkish and English; German language skills are a plus.
