Job Description
*This role can be based anywhere in the United States*
The Head of Sales, Franchise A, will drive sales and set field direction for the salesforce for IMBRUVICA and EPKINLY, in collaboration with the rest of the cross-functional Integrated Brand Team members. This role will report to the VP, Oncology – Franchise A, and will be an ambassador and advocate in representing the business to the market, the field to cross-functional players, and corporate to the field.
Responsibilities:
+ Set a compelling leadership tone and direction and co-establish vision for business.
+ Co-develops both short-term and multiple growth-horizon plans to anticipate market trends and stakeholders’ pain points.
+ Drives execution in alignment with Integrated Brand Team-led strategy.
+ Exhibit deep and broad market knowledge, including key managed care and payer dynamics. Share and provide quantitative and qualitative business acumen and analysis.
+ Drives all aspects of financial and business metrics, including not only revenue but also resource targets.
+ Lead the sales team to maximize product potential.
+ Leverages relationships and knowledge to get things done.
+ Develop top talent, providing and supporting development opportunities. Use coaching effectively and efficiently to create and maintain a high-performing team.
+ Provides thought-leadership to grow the business.
+ Create space and strategies for teams to provide both incremental and exponential innovation.
+ Coaches, succession plans, and guides leaders with a cross-functional mindset.
+ Collaborates with other field-based teams and alliance partners, to ensure in-field effectiveness for all teams supporting IMBRUVICA and EPKINLY.
+ Consistently model “One-AbbVie” and AbbVie Ways of Working behaviors.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required.
+ 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry required.
+ Oncology experience preferred.
+ Experience working in a variety of functional areas such as marketing, sales, market access, etc.
+ Superior business acumen and planning skills.
+ Strong leadership presence. Influences without authority at all levels throughout the organization.
+ Strategic mindset and high level of critical thinking ability.
+ Skilled at creating a positive culture and sustaining high levels of energy and motivation.
+ Possesses strong interpersonal skills that quicky establish trust and confidence.
+ Demonstrates a solution-oriented, enterprise-mindset.

+ The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
