Cyber security attacks are increasing and the threat landscape is changing. The role of the Head of Security Operations will lead Kingfishers Security Operations Centre (SOC) in performing security monitoring, threat analysis and vulnerability management. You will develop Kingfishers strategy and plans for incident response, containment and lessons learned, collaborating with Technology teams and Kingfisher Banners, ensuring cyber security risks are mitigated and also respond to and support cyber security incidents

What's the job? Lead and direct SOC in running, monitoring, threat analysis, vulnerability management, security testing and intelligence whilst also leading Cyber security incident response and ensuring processes, procedures and playbooks are efficient, effective and are tested regularly in line with policy.Lead incident response activities supporting Kingfisher Group Functions and Banners involving multiple stakeholders in devolved structures.Provide leadership and management of the SOC team to ensure an effective and proactive approach to security monitoring, responding to incident when needed.Drive the development of threat management, threat modelling and identification of new threat vectors by keeping up to date with industry activity and methodology, to help ensure Kingfishers critical assets are protected.Define and collect metrics / KPIs and periodically reporting to leadership on SOC events / incidents and overall effectiveness of security operations. Producing operational reports creating awareness of SOC operations with a view to demonstrating impact and value in investment.Act as the primary interface between Kingfisher and its Banners and the SOC service providers and ensuring they meet contractually defined Service Level Agreements; by monitoring process adherence and identifying continuous improvement activities needed to achieve operational performance and risk management objectives related to the SOCRegularly review, and re-defining where vital the SOC service catalogue and the associated technologies, processes, talent (people) and data requirements to ensure it meets the continually evolving threat and business landscapesCollaborate and partner with Technology functions to ensure SOC services are aligned to Kingfishers ways of working. What you'll bring Solid understanding of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for activities associated with planning and implementing technical IT security arrangementsExperience of defining and embedding a culture of highly visible, responsive and effective service provision within a teamBe a role model with a high work ethic, strong professionalism and a pace setter for themselves and the team.
